Frequently Asked Questions

When does the season start and end?

Tryouts for Minor and Major baseball are scheduled for February 6th, 2016.  Tryouts will be held at Triton Field, at Edmonds Community College.  Players will be scheduled between 2 and 6pm, going from youngest to oldest.  Tryouts for Softball will be held later in February, TBA.  Tryouts for Farm are not required for 8-9 year olds, but 7 or 10 year olds wishing to play in Farm will need to attend the Majors/Minors tryout.

Practices usually start near the beginning of March and games will start at the end of March.

Depending on the particular division, the season usually ends in early June.

How often is practice; when are games?

The frequency of practice depends upon the particular division.  In general:

  • T-Ball players practice once a week and play one (1) game per week (Saturday).
  • Rookies practice once a week and play one (1) game per week (Saturday)
  • Sluggers (NEW for 2016) practice once and play one (1) game per week (Saturday)
  • Farm practices 1 time per week and has 2 games per week (Wed/Sat).
  • Minors will typically practice 1-2 times per week and play 2-3 games per week.
  • Majors will typically practice 1-2 times per week and play 3 games per week.
  • Juniors & Seniors TBA

The practice schedules strongly depend upon field availability.  Most teams will play at least one game on the weekend.  There are time limits in place for games on school nights.
